Express Dinner

A colleague of mine just got back from Melbourne.
She gave me a packet of Microwaveable Pasta Snack!
Good for someone lazy to cook like me :)

Easy MAC Microwaveable Pasta Snack 3 easy Steps..

Step 1 - Pour pasta into a microwave safe dish.

And add 2/3 cup of cold water.

Step 2 - Microwave your pasta on high for 3- 4 minutes.

Step 3 - Mix sachet contents; the cheese powder into dish and stir until thick.

And.... voila!!!

There it goes my mac and cheese porridge style!! I should throw out some water before mixing the cheese powder actually. I blame the instructions on the behind packet! hehe

Buy hey, it still taste good anyway! :)

Happily Never After

Once upon a time, there lived a petite princess who had been so fortunate in all her undertakings. Many of young braves prince sought her in marriage.

But she would listen to one only - son of a politician, from a very far-off country.

The young man had taken her fancy and creates a romantic illusion of living happily ever after.

They were to be married, and great rejoicings were made. The two looked forward to a long life of happiness together.

But the skies are not always blue. Until one day, the princess husband was summoned by his father to be back home in his country due to some reasons.

But the princess's husband promised he will be back the soonest possible. That.. it is just a temporary.

So, the princess wait..and wait. Days to weeks, weeks by months. No sign of him to come back.
Until the news breaks.

The princess was so devastated knowing the fact that her husband already found his new love.

The princess realize that nothing last forever. All that she have left was just their sweet memories.

She also realize that giving up doesn't always mean you are weak. Sometimes it just means your strong enough to let go.

The princess believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things call fall together.

2012 Chinese New Year holidays, me and sisters grab the opportunity to go back hometown in Taiping, Perak.
Traffic was not that bad on the highway since the made our journey on the odd hours, 3.30am, Saturday.

Happy to see my parents and gather with my sisters.
Among the activities while I was in Taiping were..off course eat and eat, some 'gossip session' with mom and sisters.

This time around, me and sisters even 'hike' to Maxwell hill a.k.a Bukit Larut.
Well, it was not really a hiking.
Let's just say 95% taking jeep to the top of the hill and 5% hike around the top...hehe

It was my 1st time..and the view from top of hill has never been disappointing.

View from Maxwell hill, Taiping, Perak

1250m above sea level

On a clear day, you can even see the Penang bridge from this hill

The most wet place in Malaysia, with heavy rainfall annually

First 2 Weeks in 2012

Its been quite a while that I didn't do any write up.
I've been busy lately... work?? yeah off course that is a norm busy.
What I mean is not work related busy...I've been busy watching Korean drama..hehe
I am just a newbies in this Korean drama craze.

As soon as I finish work, I will quickly rush back home and starts my drama marathon.
And during weekend, I will wake up as early as I could to continue with the episodes.
I could not stop watching.. I eat whatever I could find in the fridge ..or just make myself 2 minutes instant noodles using the microwave.
Lazy me!

I don't even buy my groceries like I normally do over the weekends.
Every single minutes count, because I couldn't help but wonder what will happen next in the drama episodes.

So, in 2 weeks time, I have watched "Princess Hours & Boys Over Flowers".
Total over more than 45 episodes.

I love "Princess Hours" storyline, "Boys Over Flowers" is also a good.
I have to admit due to I have a 'tiny little' crush on Lee Min Ho in "Boys Over Flowers"..now I am in the midst of watching "Personal Taste", which is also starring  Lee Min Ho.

Next, I plan to watch 'City Hunter', also starring Lee Min Ho!
2 weeks in 2012, work is normal. Sometimes overloaded.
Have to deal with angry boss, angry colleagues..and angry me. :)
But..still manageable! hehe..
Trying to keep the positive vibes through out the year!

Since Chinese New Year is just around the corner, my team decided to go for a 'Yee Sang' toss a.k.a 'Prosperity toss'.
It is a dish made from shredded vegetables and sauce. Some mix slices of salmon and even with shredded fruits like pears and pamelo.
Yee Sang - before toss
For a prosperous year 2012!

And off course, good meal  was served right after the toss.

Just some of the dishes

After

After a mouthful good lunch, everybody seated quietly in their own cubicle.
Trying so hard not to fall asleep with a full stomach!

Tooth Fairy

I am sure many of us know or at least heard about tooth fairy.

When a child loses a baby tooth, this fantasy figure will come to the child during their sleeps, collect the tooth, provided the child place the tooth underneath their pillow, and replace it with small amount of money. Well..that is so myth.

Now, let me tell you my own version of tooth fairy.
To me.. tooth fairy should help us keeping our teeth clean. But since fairy is just a fantasy, so we can only depend on our own effort to keep our teeth clean.

Recently, I bought a new tooth brush.

Wait...hold it. I know you must be thinking, why on earth I want to talk about tooth brush.
I promise you, if you meet my version of tooth fairy, I bet you won't regret.

All this while, I have been using Oral-B or Colgate toothbrush. Well, I can say the advertisements are very convincing, plus they always end their advertisement with.."Oral-B/ Colgate..recommended by dentist".
I believe this particular tagline is strong enough to push their sales.

But  I still did not get the satisfaction after flossing, brushing and guggle with mouth wash.
So I decided to change to a new brand, a Japan technology.
The result was totally different...way too different than the previous brand.
My teeth never felt so clean this way, not even like after using electric toothbrush.
Without further a due, let me introduce to you, my version of tooth fairy.

Look at the slim bristles yet soft. It can easily penetrates in between teeth.. to clean your teeth better.

Try it..experience yourself. You will know what I'm talking about.

:: Please take note that this is a non-monetary promotion. I am just sharing my experience ::

Dinner @ PLOY, Damansara Heights

What a great day yesterday..not only I spent half of my time day dreaming about going to Chengdu,
on top of that my managers had treated us for 2011 appreciation dinner.

We reached the restaurant almost 8 o'clock. I was so hungry, until I forgot to snap most of the food served.
We had some lotus chips, cat fish's skin chips, some pasta in carbonara sauce, and high-lite for the night was the spaghetti in squid ink sauce.
My first time tasted the dish..errrkkk.. Our teeth turn black while eating it.
Luckily it was not a permanent stain..LOL

Soft shell crab pizza with avocado sauce

Some raw prawns and salmon
Durian Crepe Cake
Chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream
Frozen Strawberry Ice Tea
Overall, the restaurant concept is good..fusion dining with  modern contemporary ambiance.
Food rating is just average.
Will I come back to dine here? Maybe for the pizza and frozen strawberry ice tea.

Empty office + work = Daydream

Coming to year end, my office getting empty and emptier.
Everybody is clearing their annual leave..except for my department.
Nobody are allowed to take leave towards end of the year. We have to work for closing. (sigh)
Most of my office mates right now  are on their vacations..maybe on a ship cruise or maybe playing with snow, perhaps sun bathing on a tropical beach.. awwwhh! Envy them!
So here I am.. with tonnes of works need to finish..and I have no mood to work.

Pardon my photography skills :(
Physically I am in the office, trying in vain to meet my job requirements..yet inside me, I am struggling want to go for a holiday.
hhmm..where would my next dream destination be..?

Well I love Panda..The real life Panda..they look so cute and nice to hug.
Wait..where does Panda lives??
I don't want those Panda who leaves in the zoo..they look so helpless, I cannot interact with them.

So instead of posting some data in the systems, I was looking for more info about this black and white bear.
I learned that, there is a Panda Breeding & Research Center in Chengdu, China.
They are open for volunteers who wants to learn more about panda.
Basically volunteers will help to feed, clean panda etc.
Wow isn't that interesting..this is exactly what I want.
But hey the package isn't that cheap..it will take some time for me to save up..huhu
with my salary, perhaps in one and half years time..uwwaaa

What are they doing..errr exercise maybe
Either too sleepy or too exhausted
Milk time
Awww..so cute
